Cabinet
approved the publication of the Report on the Evaluation of the National School
Nutrition Programme.
This a
government programme with an annual budget of R5.5 billion resulting in nine
million children from poor communities receiving a daily nutritious meal at
school. The report provides areas of effective implementation and some areas
that need improvement.
