TO ALL MEDIA, EDITORS AND JOURNALISTS 20 November 2024 DEPUTY MINISTER IN THE PRESIDENCY, MR SEISO MOHAI, TO ADDRESS THE 2024 SALGA NORTH WEST PROVINCIAL MEMBERS ASSEMBLY IN SUN CITY ON 21 NOVEMBER 2024 The Deputy Minister in the Presidency responsible for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr Seiso Mohai, will address the 2024 South African Local Government Association (SALGA) North West Provincial Members Assembly scheduled to take place from 21 - 22 November 2024 in Sun City, Rustenburg, in the North West Province. The Deputy Minister's address will focus on Effective Monitoring and Oversight for Service delivery - The Culture Shift.
The 2024 SALGA North West Provincial Members Assembly is a significant event in the context of local government in South Africa, specifically for the North West province. SALGA serves as the representative body of local governments in South Africa and plays a vital role in policy advocacy, capacity building, and coordination between municipalities and the national government.
The Provincial Members Assembly will bring together the political and administrative leaders from provincial and local government and stakeholders from private sector, to deliberate on critical local government matters and map ways to inspire service delivery within the province.
