Branches

The Department of Performance Monitoring and Evaluation consist of four (4) branches namely:

 

Administration

The purpose of this branch is to ensure that the department has effective strategic leadership, administration and management, and to ensure that it complies with all relevant legislative prescripts.

This branch is currently made of the following sections:

  • Office of the Director General (DG’s Office which includes Strategic Support, Internal Audit and Communication)

  • Office of the Chief Financial Officer

  • Chief Information Officer

  • Human Resources Management and related corporate functions

Outcomes Monitoring and Evaluation

The purpose of this branch is to develop and implement the national priority outcomes, monitor and report on progress, including service delivery interventions like the Siyahlola Presidential Monitoring Visits. The Evaluation and Research Unit is part of this branch.

 

M&E Systems Coordination and Support

The purpose of this branch is to coordinate and support an integrated government-wide performance monitoring and evaluation system through policy development, capacity building and improving data quality and analysis.

 

Public Sector Oversight

The purpose of this branch is to conduct institutional assessments (Management Performance Assessment Tool – MPAT), frontline service delivery monitoring, citizen-based M&E and the Presidential Hotline.
